iPhone Hacking

My cousin handed me an iPhone yesterday. He asked me to help his friend to unlock it. I started working on the iPhone since 2pm. Waited for about 4hours to download the latest iPhone firmware which was the version 2.1 firmware. The file was only about 230mb and which only takes bout 1hr+ to download. At first, I used this program called ZiPhone. My sis used this to crack the old firmware. I didn't know that we can't use this same program that was about 3 months ago to crack the latest firmware.

That program only supports the latest firmware or 1.1.4 I spent about 7 hours using that program trying to unlock, crack and jailbreak that damn phone. -_-' I kept restoring the iPhone to firmware 2.1 and tried to use the ZiPhone program for about 7 or 8 times. Each restoration takes about 10mins. -_-'

Anyways.. Finally I found this program called QuickPwn It can crack the latest firmware 2.1 with ease. tho it takes a lil bit longer than cracking the 1.1.4 firmware. Oh yea.. I don't think iTunes can allow users to downgrade their iPhone to firmware 1.1.4 anymore. I kept trying to restore the iPhone to 1.1.4 but it always gives me an error.

Well, never mind bout that. The firmware 2.1 has got a lot more things than the firmware 1.1.4 so yea. Try to get hold of the program if you wanna crack the iPhone. You need to update your phone to the firmware 2.1 before you can start hacking into your iPhone. Try Google out the program and the steps. You need to download 3 more files as well. Small files. Don't worry. And for those who have downloaded firmware 2.1 with iTunes and can't find it from your documents directory. The file should be at this path
C:\Documents and Settings\Family\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

This is the last step of the process. have some patience. The hacking alone will take about 5 minutes or so. Remember this. You need to update your phone to firmware 2.1 before you can use this program. This also works for iPhone 3G.

Well, I still have the iPhone on my hand now. After jailbreaking the iPhone, there are really alot of things you can do with it. Just that, this firmware doesn't seem to adjust the satellite properly. Very very poor reception. =\

I went back up KB this morning with my cousin. Took the usual Miri-ian KB tour. Go Escapade, Soon Lee Megamart, SupaSave and Seria. Saw this extremely cool bike when we came out of Supa Save. It's parked just behind of our car. I personally call this bike the "batman bike" Such a seductive bike. =P

First time heading over to Escapade after it's renovation. Didn't take any pics.. Phone low batt. x_x They got a few new dishes. I ordered the Salmon cheese fire or smth like that. VERY NICE! =D Go try it out. hahahah.. One more thing that I would like to add is that, TODAY, ESCAPADE, IS.... serving 70% malaysian. x_X I go there, only saw 2 or 3 tables of bruneians. -_-' All Malaysians. Malaysia registered cars parked infront of the shop like a road show or smth. One straight row of Malaysian car. x_X

One whole day just wasted like that. =) Being a tour guide. LOL!
