Finally found a way to format a new HDD without connecting the HDD externally. It's kinda simple actually. Just go to My Computer, Right click on the icon and select Manage. Under the Storage tab, select Disk Management. From there, you will be able to see details of the Disk Drives that are available on your computer. If a new HDD that you just got out from it's plastic seal, then the Driver details will say that it is not initialized. Just click Initialize and format the HDD with the details you want, like partition, the name of the drive and the allocated space for your HDD. One thing tho, it took me about an hour to format the 500GB HDD. =\ But the bright side, its worth the wait cause I really need this storage space..

This is how messed up your HDD can be if you don't Defrag the HDD once in a while. If you have never ever done any deframenting before, your computer will run slower than it should be. This is how messed up my C Drive were with our defragmenting for about 6mths+
See those colorful bars at the bottom, THATS not good. Thats how messed up your Disk Drive is. The files are all scattered around like a boy's messy room. You gotta do some cleaning and tiding once in awhile. The reason why I didn't defrag my drives are simply because the system needs at least 15% of free space to defrag a drive properly. My free disk space was always less than 5% so I can't do any defrags properly. Thank god now it's all under control. =)

I'm not sure if it's ATI always need their consumers to update the hardware's driver once in awhile or is it just my particular model for my graphic card. I installed RaceDriver GRID this afternoon and I tried to run it. It was the worse image I've seen so far. The game lagged like hell even with my graphics settings on the lowest and the game play has gotten all the building's structure in the middle of the road making you unable to see the road properly and hence, causing you unable to have a satisfactory gaming experience.

All those problems were solved after I updated my graphic card's driver to the latest one which was released in June 2OO8. The last time I updated it was last year's year end holidays I think. That time is due to the transparent appearance of my Maple's character. But to think of it the other way round, it's actually good for the company to be constantly updating the graphic card's driver. This way, consumers won't have to keep on buying new graphic cards just to play new games that demands a higher graphic processing.

While I was finding the latest updates for my graphic card, I found a link that helps to tell you if your System is good enough to play games from a long list available. It's cool. I tried it on GRID and this is what I got.

Of course, I passed all the Minimum requirements except for my sound card. Not sure where to update a RealTek software. Will try to find it tho. The pic above shows the recommended system that can make the game run at a rather good looking graphic and less latency during gameplay. As you can see, my Dual Core processor is not even up to the standard already. I'm short of 512MB of RAM and my graphic card just ain't powerful enough. =( Well, at least I can run GRID without and screen flickers. =)

Oh yea, the website for the testing of your system is actually called Can You RUN it? Gamers, try it out. It's worth the try so that you'll know where your system stands. For those who are interested in computer parts or gaming, you can try it as well. It won't take long to try the test. Just don't end task or End Process when the web browser hangs or don't respond. The browser is just compiling the data and finalizing it. Be patient. =) Just run another test on Assassins Creed. Amazingly, this game's requirement is actually lower than GRID. =\ Anyways, hope the game will be fun. =D

I didn't get to go to Ah Kai's 18th Bday celebration. Transportation! So I went to the tamu with friends. They said that CCMS was performing tonight but it ended up Indon's performing. -_-" Left there at around 9 to the arcade as it was raining and the shows were not our variety. Shot some hoops and watched cacing sang again. HAHA! Went to Marilyn with Chet, Cacing and Hack and we 4 wanted to play some CS there. We all didn't have the CS 1.6 files except Chet. But in the end, we all ended up playing our own games cause the copying of the files is just taking too long. We left at 12 and headed to Hack's place and tried to work something out. It's good having a few computer geeks there. =P 4 laptops all with Wi-Fi built in. This is all we need to set up our own LAN group. Using the one computer as a router/host for the LAN and others connecting the the server. Played till 4 just now and everyone went home. It was a fun night actually. hahaha..

I drank one shot of Espresso in Marilyn and this is enough to get me awake the whole night. =\ Having a lesson on driving law later at 8 30. Hope I can get some sleep and be able to wake up at 8. T_T OR, I might just stay up till 8. =D
